Dipti Borkar is responsible for Strategic ISVs and Fabric Data Dev experiences. Dipti is a senior technology executive and entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience in cloud, distributed systems, database tech including relational & NoSQL systems. Prior to Microsoft, she founded Ahana (acquired by IBM) and created a cloud managed service for SQL on data lakes. Prior to Ahana, she held various executive roles across product, engineering, and world-wide solutions engineering teams at various organizations including Couchbase. At IBM, Dipti managed large world-wide dev teams for DB2 Distributed, where she also started her career as a software engineer. She is very passionate about empowering and mentoring women in tech, and women in open source.
Phil Cheetham
Group Head, Data Platforms
Phil is Group Head of Data Platforms at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) responsible for the non real-time content estate and data platforms in partnership with Microsoft. Prior to LSEG Phil was Vice President, EC2 Instance Platforms in AWS. In his role he was responsible for the evolution of existing and introduction of new instance types for EC2. Prior to AWS, Phil has a wealth of experience across financial services, advertising, start-ups and telco with senior roles in AOL (VP Engineering - now Yahoo!), CIO Digital for Barclays Corporate Bank, CTO Digital for HSBC retail banking along with senior technical positions at Telefonica, Nokia and BT with experience across Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
