Tom is a customer focused, results driven technology executive with 20+ years in Financial Services. He is focused on transformation for business value while fostering a positive culture that values continuous learning, collaboration, and a growth mindset. Tom is currently leading NT’s tech transition to modern digital, ai, cloud, devops data and platform engineering.

Prior to working at Northern Trust, he worked for the Federal Reserve at the CTO and COO of National IT. Tom led the Central bank tech response to the pandemic, retired the last of the FRB’s mainframes and launched a broad digital / cloud first modernization strategy. The effort established the public secure controls foundation and defined the roadmap to drive the FRB primarily to Public Cloud. Tom contributed to FedNow (a cloud native realtime gross-settlement system), the digital dollar, and block chain settlement experiments while at the FRB.

Prior to his tenure at the Federal Reserve Tom served at Citigroup for 17 years designing and executing a variety of business and technology change initiatives leading efforts.
